Doubloons: Tabletop Edition

What is Doubloons?

Ahoy! Doubloons is a seafaring card game where you are a pirate captain in a race to collect 7 doubloons.

On your quest, you'll get to do things like plunder cards, pillage doubloons, commandeer ships, and recruit the most legendary pirates in history.

How do you play?

Games are for 2 to 6 players and take 20 to 40 minutes per game. Here's how it works:

1. Draw and play action cards to help you collect doubloons.

2. Hire pirates into your crew to bolster your strength every turn.

3. Race to get 7 doubloons first. Combo your action cards and assemble the fiercest crew of buccaneers on the high seas.

Who made Doubloons?

We're three friends who grew up playing games like 7 Wonders, Ticket to Ride, and Catan. On a cross-country road trip from San Francisco to Detroit, we came up with an idea for a card game that was simple enough to teach our parents but had enough depth that we'd regularly play with each other. We spent that night in Yellowstone National Park making our first paper prototype. Many months and iterations later, we're super excited to share Doubloons with you all.
